Each piece of Wire wrapped artisan jewelry you see here is hand crafted by Jennifer Dean She has been making jewelry for over 25 years. She has always been an entrepreneur, even selling beaded jewelry of her own designs as a teen. She has built upon years of experience as a wire wrap jewelry artist and artisan jewelry designer and is completely self taught. All of her creations are her original thoughts, ideas, and designs that make it into beautiful finished pieces of wearable art.
" I hope that you will love everything I have made as much as I loved making it.."
How it all Began
"I began making jewelry when I was a little girl. I love weaving beads and making jewelry and would even sell them at school since everyone wanted one. I would often re-purpose old things people were going to throw away into jewelry components and make something unique. I began making wire wrapped jewelry first for myself, and later to sell in 2002 as a way to bring joy to myself during some rough times. I had so much fun that I was wrapping every stone in sight. I started selling them to make money to keep wrapping and pay bills and that hobby grew into a business.
Each Unique, One of a Kind, wire wrapped pendant, earrings, bracelet, or collar I offer for sale is made by my own two hands using only the chosen stone, straight precious metal wire, and a couple different pairs of small pliers. I do almost all the shaping and wrapping of the wire with just my fingers. I just look at the stone and "feel" how it should be wrapped. Inspiration for new designs and combinations of stones come to me at random times as I am going about my day. I will have an idea pop into my head. Sometimes I have a new design in my head when I wake up in the morning. I take time and care in creating each piece of wearable art and search out just the right stones for my jewelry.
I feel each piece I send out into the world can inspire the wearer to be free in their expression of joy and happiness every time they wear it.
I've sold my work online in the past on a previous website, ebay, etsy, at various local art fairs, and other various venues in Ky and surrounding states. I've even set up at private home showings."
The stones I choose to offer are selected with mindfulness.
"It is very important to me that the stones I offer be sourced and mined in such a way as to preserve and care for the environment. I spend a lot of time hand picking each stone that I make into jewelry so that I am offering the highest quality possible to my customers."
